Spring break plans

Spring break is rapidly approaching…it’s hard to believe that I’ve already been here for 10 weeks! (Only 5 more weeks in Copenhagen, and two traveling Europe.)

Alex and I got Eurail passes and recently sat down and made our plans. As we realized, a loose plan is going to be the best. With the Eurail, it’s necessary to make train reservations, but these reservations can not really be made in advance, because you can only make reservations for trains leaving from the country that you are in. We reserved seats on a train from Copenhagen to Prague on April 9th, the first day of break. In Prague, we will be staying in a hotel, right outside the city center. After Prague we will spend some time in Rome, staying with Alex’s Dad’s friend, who happens to be the French Ambassador to the Vatican…wow. We also want to make a short trip to either Florence or Naples. After Italy, we are going to stay with Alex’s cousin, who lives an hour outside of Brussels, in Antwerp, Belgium. The food in Belgium is supposed to be amazing, so hopefully I have enough money left at that point. Finally, for the last couple of days of break I’m going to Northern Germany to visit Mirko, my friend who I met when he did an exchange program at Plattsburgh High School. I CAN NOT WAIT for this break!!! :-)
